Fine Second for Fisher on Jim Clark International


Alastair on the 2010 Jim Clark RallyFor Alastair Fisher this season's British Rally Championship has had its frustrations. Two non finishes with mechanical failures on the opening Bulldog and Pirelli gravel rounds had left no points on the board. On the first two British rounds Alastair had shown his speed, and now on the weekend's Jim Clark International, with the speed came a well deserved result, a fine second place behind former British Champion Gwyndaf Evans. more>>>

Alastair on the 2010 Rally of the LakesAlastair Fisher and co-driver Rory Kennedy's fourth place finish on round three of the Citroen Irish Tarmac Rally Championship, the Killarney Rally of the Lakes, puts Alastair on top overall in the driver's championship, and this driving a Group N Production based Mitsubishi Evo 9! After the disappointment of a retirement on the previous weekend's Pirelli International Rally in England, Alastair put it all behind him, as he switched back to tarmac for the two day Killarney International. Alastair on the 2010 Pirelli RallyThe Pirelli International Rally, based in Carlisle, round two of the 2010 British Rally Championship, presented a tough challenge for the crews, with three night stages in the famous Kielder Forest complex on the Friday night, and a further nine stages before the event finished on Saturday afternoon. Sadly for young Alastair Fisher and his co-driver the experienced Rory Kennedy, their Group N Mitsubishi Evo 9 only took them to the start line of stage 7, before mechanical failure forced their retirement. Alastair's Amazing Circuit of Ireland Drive!


Alastair scares the WRC boysFor Alastair Fisher and co-driver Marshall Clarke the 2010 Circuit of Ireland Rally was a fantastic weekend of rallying. Their third place overall finish only tells part of the story, as they led the rally outright for seven stages and Alastair now lies second overall in the Irish Tarmac Championship.

Transmission failure ends Alastair's Brilliant Bulldog Start


Alastair makes a big splash at the 2010 BulldogThe Bulldog International Rally, round one of the British Rally Championship presented 100 miles of superb Welsh forest stages for the crews on Saturday. For Co. Tyrone's Alastair Fisher, who finished third in the British and Irish Rally Championship's last season, it presented the first chance in 2010 to measure his performance once more against the best in Britain, and Alastair once again proved he had great pace. On stage 6 however the Group N Mitsubishi Evo 9 succumbed to a rare mechanical failure in the rear differential, and for Alastair and Letterkenny co-driver Rory Kennedy it was the end of their Bulldog efforts. more>>>



Alastair Prepares for British Rally Championship Challenge


Alastair Evo with new sponsors on boardTeam UK Member Alastair Fisher, the 2010 rally season is one he is relishing. Having finished third in the British Rally Championship last year, the Co. Tyrone driver is returning to the British series with his familiar Evo 9 and the experience of his first season in a Group N car under his belt. Glory for Fisher in Galway!


Alastair on his way to 4th overall in GalwayAlastair Fisher and Rory Kennedy started their 2010 rallying season with a superb result on the Galway International Rally, round one of the Irish Tarmac Rally Championship. Using their familiar Mitsubishi Evolution 9, rebuilt by Gerry McGarrity Motorsport over the winter months, they ended the two day International event in a fantastic fourth place overall, first Group N car home, and second in class to the S2000 Fiesta of Craig Breen. more>>>






BRC drivers to make up 40 per cent of Team UK


Alastair selected to represent team UK in 2010Four of the ten young drivers selected by the Motor Sports Association (MSA), to form the national squad under the new designation of Team UK, come for the British Rally Championship.

The four rally drivers selected to join the MSA’s driver development scheme in 2010 are:

  • Alastair Fisher (Co Tyrone)
  • Dave Weston Jr (Aberdeen)
